Opportunity International Savings and Loans Receives GECEA Award

Opportunity International Savings and Loans Awarded Outstanding Non-Bank Financial Services CEO of the Year

CHICAGO – June 4, 2019 – Opportunity International is proud to announce that Kwame Owusu-Boateng, Chief Executive Officer of Opportunity International Saving and Loans (OISL), won the Outstanding Non-Bank Financial Services CEO of the Year award at the 9th annual Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Awards ceremony in Accra in May. 

 

The award ceremony is the flagship event of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana and is designed to honor, reward, inspire, and recognize entrepreneurs, public officials, corporate executives, and business executives who own or manage successful organizations in the private and public sector. This year's theme was "Promoting the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals through Private and Public Sector Partnership." 

 

"We give God the glory for this wonderful achievement,” says Owusu-Boateng. “I dedicate this award to my hard-working and excellent staff who have supported the vision of OISL over the past 15 years. The Board of OISL also deserves a special commendation for their continued guidance. To our Partners across the globe, you are the giant shoulders we stand on today. Finally, our clients are the greatest gift we have, and they bear testimony to our transformation goals and they are the ones who have shaped our vision and made it meaningful.”
