Churches around the world put their faith in action by partnering with Opportunity International, helping people build sustainable livelihoods, ensuring that children can stay in school, and fighting extreme poverty.
We have created resources for your church to learn more about poverty, justice, and charity; involve your community with our mission; and connect with the incredible people Opportunity serves around the world.
My church has a long and deep partnership with Opportunity international, and I have been privileged to grow my passion for the organization through leadership of the missions team that supports this important partner. I have learned new skills, grown in my passion for the work of OI, and experienced deep joy and fulfillment seeing the members of our church become impassioned travelers and advocates for OI after their experience abroad. No other mission partner we have provides such a personal and relational partnership that fuels a successful result every year.”

What your church can do
Invite an Opportunity representative to speak to your congregation or Bible study about poverty, development, and Opportunity's work.
- Host a Trust Group Simulation. This interactive group activity is a great way to spark conversations about global issues and engage your community. Gather anywhere from 6-100 people and put yourselves in the shoes of Opportunity's clients.
- Host a book discussion with your small group or Sunday School class. Start with Unpoverty by Mark Lutz, or select one of the great books from the Opportunity Book Club.
- Travel on an Insight Trip. Meet Opportunity's clients and see the work firsthand. We have several open trips a year, or you can work with our team to schedule a trip for your church group.
