Opportunity’s Genzo Yamamoto Participates In Housing Workshop In Washington DC
Increasing access to better housing for people living in poverty is a priority. That’s why Opportunity is excited to announce that our very own Genzo Yamamoto and Justice Arthur will be speaking on this topic this coming Wednesday at the SEEP conference in DC.
Dialogue will be an opportunity to explore and collectively build our understanding of approaches in promoting access to housing through a combination of financing for housing services such as improvements/incremental building, and construction technical assistance. Building on the experience of the three grantees—Opportunity International - Ghana, Habitat for Humanity - India, and Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance - Afghanistan—from the USAID Housing Implementation Grant Program (IGP), the workshop will bring together implementing agencies, funders and other key stakeholders that are experimenting with new approaches to promoting access to housing services for the poor.
Come out and hear more about this topic: Wednesday at 4:30pm at the DC Economic Partnership’s Pepco Conference Room. A networking session will follow the conclusion of the dialogue.
