Typhoon Victims Need Our Help Today
Please join me in praying for the people of the Philippines. Heavy monsoon rains from typhoons Maring and Labuyo have battered the Philippines over the last two weeks causing devastating flooding and affecting more than 2.5 million residents, including 541,554 families in 1,822 villages in 138 towns and 35 cities in 17 provinces.
This number included nearly 150,000 Opportunity International clients and staff, many of whom have lost their homes and businesses.
They desperately need our help.
Our local institutions in the Philippines are currently packing relief goods for distribution to our clients and staff along with other typhoon victims.
Many Opportunity International donors and employees have asked how they can help and we have set up a special relief fund to directly assist those in need. Please join us by clicking here to donate. Any amount will go a long way to relieving the suffering in the Philippines.
Catastrophic events such as Typhoons Maring and Labuyo always bring out the best in people. Working together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in the Philippines who desperately need our help. I’ll keep you up to date our progress.
