Seeing the Real Uganda and Rwanda: Agriculture Finance Trip

Experience breathtaking mountain ranges, exquisite wildlife and diverse cultures of Uganda and Rwanda, while seeing firsthand how Opportunity International is partnering with farmers to improve their agricultural system.

Nearly half of the world’s uncultivated land is in sub-Saharan Africa. Yet in this region, over a quarter of young children are underweight. Opportunity believes the solution lies in growing crops with higher levels of essential nutrients. These types of improved crops require high-quality fertilizers and irrigation technology.

The agricultural development of this land has the potential to significantly increase food production, reduce poverty and provide job opportunities for Africans. With the financial assistance that Opportunity offers, agriculture has been improving in Uganda and Rwanda, and so are the lives of thousands of farmers and their families.

Travel with us to Uganda and Rwanda to meet clients who have accessed Opportunity International loans and skills trainings in order to support their families and bring hope to their communities.
