Todd StrubbePresident & COO, VeriSign (Retired)

Todd is a retired senior executive with extensive leadership experience at leading and growing companies in the payments, financial services, communications services, and internet infrastructure industries. He retired in 2024 from Verisign, Inc., where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Todd joined Verisign in 2015 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer in February 2020. During his time at Verisign, his responsibilities included product development and management, marketing, sales and account management, corporate strategy, research and development, and technology operations and infrastructure. He was responsible for Verisign Security Services until it was divested over the course of 2017 to 2019. During his leadership, Verisign’s revenue grew from $1.01 billion (end of 2014) to $1.49 billion (end of 2023).

Todd was at West Corporation from 2009 to 2015, leading its $1 billion-plus revenue Unified Communications business segment, which included InterCall Conferencing and Collaboration, West IP Communications and West Interactive Services. Todd had previously been with West Corporation from 2001 to 2006, leading both West Direct and West Interactive during this time. In each of these positions, Todd was responsible for all operational aspects of the business, including sales, marketing, product development and management, strategy, operations, and technology.

In addition to West Corporation, Todd served as President of First Data Debit Services and the STAR Network from 2006 to 2007. He was also with First Data Corporation from 1995 to 2000 as Managing Director, Systems Architecture and Product Development, President of First Data Electronic Payments Group and Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development. From 2000 to 2001, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of CompuBank, N.A., the first internet-only bank to receive a national charter from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. He began his business career with the global consulting firm McKinsey & Company, Inc, where he served as a consultant and engagement manager. Prior to that, he served as an infantry officer in the 82nd Airborne Division in the U.S. Army.

Todd graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science Degree and received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Business.
