Sakina MandandaDirector of Financial Products, Agriculture Finance

Sakina has 19 years of banking experience in Malawi. She started her banking career at First Capital Bank before joining Opportunity Bank of Malawi in 2003. There, Sakina held several positions  including Chief Portfolio Officer managing donor projects, Chief Agriculture Officer and her last position was Head of Banking Operations.

Sakina is very passionate about improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and financial inclusion for women and youth. Her current role with AgFinance involves providing technical support to financial institutions in Uganda, Rwanda, Ghana, Mozambique, and Malawi.

Sakina has an MBA from the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Shareworld Open University, and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services from UNISA (SA).
