Mike PalmerRetired President, Winslow Capital Management
As President at Winslow from 2010 to 2021, Mike was responsible for all aspects of strategy development and management execution for the $30B institutional growth-equity asset manager with products across the US, global, public, and private markets. Previously, he was SVP, Senior Portfolio Manager for Alliance Bernstein, LP, based in London. From 1990 to 2000 he was Managing Director at Wilshire Associates in Santa Monica and Minneapolis. Mike began his career at IDS (American Express).
At Opportunity International, Mike is a member of the US Board, Chair of the Finance Committee and member of the OTI Board. Besides OI, he serves on the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Advisory Council for the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation; as Board Trustee and Treasurer at American Public Media Group in Minnesota; as Board Trustee and Finance Committee Chair at Minnesota Public Radio, and as Co-Chair of the Glen Nelson Center at APMG. He holds a BA in Economics from Wheaton College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago. He and his wife, Kelly, have been long-time Opportunity supporters for over 15 years, and live in Minneapolis, MN.
