Jane NelsonFormer Vice President, Bank of America

Jane Nelson has partnered with numerous organizations over the past 25 years to deliver agricultural, educational and financial services to those living in poverty in Africa. She has been on the board of Opportunity International US, Opportunity Savings and Loan of Ghana, Opportunity International DRC, as well as Leadership Network, Halftime and Africa New Day. She has also partnered with Stanford University Institute of Design, International Farming and World Vision to design new approaches to improving the lives of those living in extreme poverty. In 2020, she received the Distinguished Service Award from Opportunity International for her work with the poor and marginalized.

Jane is passionate about agricultural programs to improve productivity for small holder farmers, reduce food insecurity, and create sustainable food systems globally. In addition to her international work she collaborates with organizations in her local community that are finding innovative solutions for those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.

Jane previously worked with Bank of America and held senior management positions in product development, marketing and strategic planning. She has a BS in Marketing from San Diego State University. Jane and her husband Peter have two adult children and live in Newport Beach, California.
