Ellen Opokua AcquayeTechnical Component Lead, Agriculture Finance

Ellen Acquaye is an experienced agribusiness specialist with over a decade of experience working with agribusinesses and smallholder farmers in Ghana.

Throughout her career, Ellen has played a key role in implementing and managing donor-funded projects supported by organizations such as Global Affairs Canada, USAID, the Netherlands Embassy, and the Mastercard Foundation. Her work has focused on strengthening agricultural value chains, improving smallholder farmers' access to finance, and enhancing market linkages to drive sustainable growth in Ghana’s agricultural sector.

In 2024, Ellen joined Opportunity International as the Technical Component Lead, leading efforts to build the capacity of farmers and MSMEs. Her work contributes to Opportunity International’s mission of breaking the cycle of poverty by equipping individuals and communities with the tools needed to thrive.

Ellen holds a Master of Philosophy in Agribusiness and a Bachelor of Agriculture from the University of Ghana. She is passionate about leveraging innovative financial solutions and strategic partnerships to create long-lasting impact in the agricultural sector.
