Amy Sheridan serves as Chief Financial Officer at Opportunity International, where she oversees global finance functions, including financial reporting and analysis, accounting operations, budgeting and forecasting, audit, tax, and treasury management. In this role, Amy advances financial transparency, accountability, and stewardship—ensuring that Opportunity’s financial systems and strategies support its mission and long-term sustainability.

Amy brings more than 30 years of financial leadership experience across nonprofit, profit, and international business sectors. Prior to joining Opportunity International, she led a 22-person accounting team at NORC at the University of Chicago, strengthening internal controls and operational efficiency while fostering professional development. Her previous roles include finance leadership at Fermi Research Alliance, LLC at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, where she managed financial audits and improved reporting to shareholders, and serving as CFO of a multinational medical manufacturing group with operations across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, where she advanced global reporting and supported growth through strategic process improvements.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in Accounting and Organizational Behavior. She is widely recognized for her integrity, technical expertise, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to continuous improvement—values that align deeply with Opportunity International’s mission.
