The Live Below the Line Challenge
What is Live Below the Line?
An international challenge to eat and drink on less than $1.50 a day for five days in honor of the 1.2 billion people who live below the extreme poverty line every day. It's an opportunity to learn more about the daily realities of those living in extreme poverty, share Opportunity International's mission with your friends and raise critical support for organizations making a difference around the world.
When is the challenge?
The full challenge runs from April 27 - May 1. You are welcome to take the challenge for the full five days, or abbreviate or modify it to fit your schedule.
Who should take the challenge?
You, of course! Thousands of people around the US and the world will be participating in the challenge, including Opportunity International staff and friends. If health restrictions or other circumstances prevent you from taking the challenge, consider giving to someone's fundraiser instead!
Why should I take the challenge?
Because you'll learn about the daily realities of those living in extreme poverty. Because it will be an eye opening experience. Because it will give you an easy way to raise support to empower those working their way out of poverty. Because it's an incredible way to get involved and make a difference.
