Opportunity International "Live Below the Line Challenge" Official Rules

ELIGIBILITY: The Opportunity International “Live Below the Line Challenge” Contest is sponsored by Opportunity International (“Sponsor”) and is open to currently active Young Ambassadors for Opportunity, who are also legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, age 18 and older. Opportunity International staff immediate family members (parents, children, spouses, siblings and members of the same household) are ineligible from competing in the contest.

ENTRY PERIODS AND HOW TO ENTER: The contest entry period is from Monday, March 30 at 12:01 am Eastern Time ("ET") to Friday, May 1 at 11:59 pm ET ("Entry Period").  Attendees enter the contest by visiting opportunity.org/livebelow and completing the registration form. Attendees who enter the Challenge (“Entrants”) assume all risk of damaged, destroyed, lost, late, incomplete, or illegible entries. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned.

CONTEST DESCRIPTION: Eligible individuals must be active Young Ambassadors for Opportunity and participate in the 2015 Live Below the Line Challenge. The first five participants to raise $2,000 through their Live Below the Line fundraiser page will be eligible to receive a complementary Insight Trip to the Dominican Republic. To be considered for prizes, each individual must register him/herself with the Live Below the Line Challenge, and select Opportunity International as their recipient organization. All participants must successfully complete the Live Below the Line Challenge or forfeit place in the contest. 

SELECTION PROCESS: Winners will be determined by the first five individuals to raise $2,000. Should additional individuals raise $2,000, they may be eligible for a future prize, but these additional prizes are not guaranteed.  

PRIZE/ODDS:  The first place prize is an expenses-covered Insight Trip to the Dominican Republic. This prize does not include complementary airfare.

Winners names may, in Sponsor's discretion, be posted on the Opportunity International web site at http://www.opportunity.org. Prizes are not transferable in whole or in part. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute another prize of comparable value.  Winner is solely responsible for any local, state or federal taxes, and any other taxes, fees and costs connected with the prize.  Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period at the Event.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:   Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor.  Where legal, participation in this Sweepstakes constitutes permission (and, where legal, entrant agrees to confirm that grant in writing) to use in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed (including but not limited to the Internet), the entrant’s name, likeness, voice, biographical information, and image for promotional, trade and/or publicity purposes without notice and at no additional compensation or review, unless prohibited by United States law. Submission of entry grants Sponsor and its agents the right in perpetuity to reproduce, publish, use, edit, adapt and/or modify such entry information, in any way, in any and all media, without limitation and without compensation to entrant. Sponsor is not responsible for human error, theft, destruction, or damage to entries, or other factors beyond its reasonable control. BY PARTICIPATING OR ACCEPTING A PRIZE, ENTRANTS RELEASE AND AGREE TO HOLD HARMLESS THE SPONSOR, PROMOTION PARTNERS, PRIZE SUPPLIERS, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE PARENTS, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND CONTRACTORS FROM ANY AND ALL EXISTING OR FUTURE ACTUAL OR ALLEGED ACTIONS, CLAIMS AND/OR LIABILITIES OF WHATEVER NATURE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, BODILY INJURY (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WRONGFUL DEATH AND DISABILITY), PROPERTY DAMAGE, AND LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY OTHER KIND, ARISING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE, PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES, ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT, AND/OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES OR PRIZE RELATED ACTIVITIES. Any fraud or attempt by an Entrant or any other individual to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to cooperate in the prosecution of any such individual(s) to pursue all remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes in its entirety or any portion thereof if its integrity or proper operation is undermined, or because of any force majeure event and, in such case, to select the winner from the eligible entries received prior to cancellation or suspension.
