Before joining Opportunity, Kurtz spent 27 years in investment banking with Goldman Sachs, Salomon Brothers/Citigroup, and Credit Suisse. He was trusted advisor to Fortune 500 boards and CEOs, managing company-transforming M&A, activist shareholder situations, capital structure/balance sheet decisions and capital markets access. Then, he was Deputy Director and CFO of the Illinois Criminal Justice Authority, a state government agency focused on criminal justice outcomes.
