Martha "Muffy" MacMillan
Muffy has been a board member, donor, fundraiser, and/or volunteer for more than 20 organizations such as Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation, PACER Center, Minnesota Children’s Museum, Opportunity International, Minnesota International Center, Children’s Hospital of Minneapolis, St Paul Blake School, Governor for 11 Who Care, Minneapolis Institute of Arts and several others in the past 25 years. Her passion to philanthropically make a global difference has extended to serving and volunteering her time on a Bank Board in Colombia. She is known for her hands-on approach to her involvement with organizations in which she serves. She is an active participant who enjoys being fully engaged with the organization’s mission and brings experience, leadership, energy and financial support to help other reach their goals and objectives.
Most recently she served as the Agricultural Finance Campaign Chair for Opportunity, and she continues to serve as a Director on the Board of Opportunity Bank of Colombia. Muffy has been honored to receive the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, honoring her commitment to share her resources, talents and experiences while maintaining the traditions of her ethnic heritage as they embody the American Dream. She has also received the 2015 Pioneer Award at the United Nations which honors innovating women in business worldwide. Muffy resides in Minneapolis, MN.
