Luke CoulsonDirector of Client Services, Agriculture Finance

Luke has over 10 years of experience in the development and management of smallholder value and supply chains and the deployment of GIS technologies in rural environments. He began working with Opportunity in 2019 and managed the launch of our first Farmer Support Agent networks in Malawi. His current role oversees our Farmer Support Agent networks across Africa, training programs that include VSLA, graduation, smallholder farming and AgriBusiness, and overseeing our operations in Malawi and DRC.

Prior to joining Opportunity, Luke was the Chief Operating Officer, Director and Shareholder of Agronomy Technology Limited, and served as a consultant for various GIZ, MEDA, ACE and FAO programs.

Luke has a Master’s in Development Economics from the University of KwaZulu Natal, and Bachelor’s Degrees in Economics & Environmental Science from Rhodes University.
