Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda. The Serena Hotel staff will meet you upon arrival and take you to the hotel for an evening meet & greet and a good night's rest.
Enjoy breakfast followed by a visit to some of Opportunity's digital finance clients. Learn how technology is bringing financial inclusion and innovative solutions to some of Rwanda's most marginalized communities. Debrief with the group over dinner at the Serena Hotel.
After breakfast, visit local schools supported by Opportunity and meet school proprietors and their students. Hear about the ways our Education Finance program has helped make schools more accessible and effective. Dine in the evening with local Urwego banking partners.
Enjoy a day of cultural exploration in Kigali, visiting spots like the Inema Arts Center or the Rwanda Genocide Museum, followed by dinner with your fellow travelers.
Continue your exploration of the city with a trip to the exciting Kimironko Market, followed by relaxation before you depart for your excursions tomorrow.
Depart Kigali for Volcanoes National Park. Check in at your hotel, explore the park, and savor dinner with a sunset view at the Virunga Lodge.
Begin the day with breakfast at Virunga Lodge before heading out on a gorilla trekking adventure, taking in the park's breathtaking views with a restorative walk, or getting a relaxing massage.
Return to Kigali, enjoy a leisurely lunch, and depart for home with lasting memories, new respect for the courage and dignity of our clients, and a new appreciation for the importance of Opportunity's work in Rwanda.
