Hear from Megan Tamte, Co-founder and CEO, Evereve (formerly Hot Mama), and Vicki Escarra, Global CEO, Opportunity International, as they share stories of overcoming their fears through courage. Vicki Escarra
Global CEO, Opportunity International

As Opportunity International’s Global CEO, Vicki leads 17,500 employees and 30,000 donors who work to impact five million clients in 22 countries. In 2012, she led long-term strategic planning that increased global fundraising by 30 percent in 2013. Before joining Opportunity, she was CEO of Feeding America where she increased donations 300 percent, doubled the num-ber of people served and grew the organi-zation into a $1.2 billion organization. Prior to this, Escarra spent 30 years at Delta Air Lines, where as chief marketing officer she became one of the highest-ranking women in the aviation industry, over-seeing $15 billion in revenue and leading a workforce of 52,000. She has been named among America’s Top-50 most powerful and influential execu-tives by The NonProfit Times for three consecutive years.

Megan Tamte
Founder and CEO, Evereve

Megan was a third grade teacher and then a stay-at-home mom. She wasn’t looking to start a national retail brand. She was a mom who loved fashion and saw the need for a clothing store that served moms like her. Ten years ago, she and her husband, Mike risked everything to start  Evereve (formerly Hot Mama). They now have 51 stores across 18 states with more than 700 employees. Megan and Mike balance raising their two teenage children with running a rapidly growing business. They are Opportunity International Governors and committed to empowering women entrepreneurs around the world.
